What Are the Changes in CFDI 3.3?
Rafael Silva [Vauxoo]

2018 is already under way and many companies are still adjusting, looking for a way to keep up with the new specifications the SAT introduced for electronic invoicing. Worth remembering: from January 2018 this type of invoice became mandatory for taxpayers, right after six months in which CFDI 3.2 and CFDI 3.3 coexisted.

What's new in the new electronic invoice?

Validation

Among the most notable things in this version are the 46 validation rules which check the consistency of the data used to create CFDIs.

Use

It includes information on what the recipient will use the receipt for.

Key catalog

Product/service keys and unit of measure keys are recorded according to the SAT catalogs

No zeros, no negatives

Partial recording of line items with a value of 0 is not allowed, nor is the use of negative numbers

No address

The recipient's and issuer's street address is removed. Only the place of issue is used for the issuer.

Payment form and methods

The payment form used to be inverted. And the payment method allowed N/A. It is now recorded according to the SAT catalog.

Catalogs

There are catalogs for defining and matching the CFDI's information fields

Annex 20

Se actualizaron los tributos en el Annex 20, removing 40 of them and adding another 22, which leaves 65 updated attributes.

New fields

16 fields that include structural forms

Educational institutions

With this complement you can issue "sales" invoices and make the corresponding deductions when receiving student payments, if your business is a private education institute.

Real estate transactions

Odoo is configured to handle the transfer of real property in CFDI 3.3 invoices, including the notary public's information in the transaction, in line with what is set out by the SAT.

Tickets de Aerolíneas

This module handles airline invoices, including all the extra charges tied to this kind of purchase: airport tax, excess baggage, fuel and other itemized costs.

Vehicle sales

With these modules Odoo handles the tax side of buying and selling used and new vehicles, as well as vehicle destruction at SAT-authorized centers.

Partial construction services

For companies in this line of business Odoo meets the special tax measures around building state-supported housing, according to the SAT.
